We are a community on mission to our neighbors and the nations with the Gospel.
Local Missions
As needy sinners who've found grace in Christ, we seek to reach our neighbors with the good news that Jesus saves. We offer a Vacation Bible School in the summer, a Missions Week in the fall, and throughout the year, we gladly support the ministry of Cradle of Hope in Glenside.
Calvary is also active in planting churches in our region. In 2023, we sent fifty of our members to plant Good News OPC in Norristown. Currently, we are developing a new church plant based in Elkins Park/North East Philadelphia.
Short-Term Missions
We participate in our denomination’s short-term missions trips, recently sending teams to serve in disaster relief in Houston and evangelistic work at the Boardwalk Chapel in Wildwood, NJ.
World Wide Outreach
We also support our denomination’s efforts at worldwide outreach through three active ministry committees.
Our Committee on Christian Education helps us teach the faith by producing Sunday School materials with Great Commissions Publications, our denominational magazine New Horizons, and an intern program for future pastors.
Our Committee on Home Missions assists our presbyteries in planting and nurturing new churches throughout North America, over twenty-five active church plants in all.
Our Committee on Foreign Missions sends and supports missionaries Asia, Quebec, Haiti, Uganda, Ukraine, and Uruguay, including, where possible, medical missions and theological training.
